Less is more
After working with various partners at EMM in developing effective marketing
materials for the use on the digital billboard, EMM has few recommendations
and suggestions.
- 7 word or less
Too much text is a typical mistake. Viewers tend to have approximately 4 seconds or so to understand your message. Make it brief and make it to the point.
- Good contrast
The imagery should come second to your message. a simple logo against a black background was found to be far more effective then lots of colors in the design. be careful not to over saturate your image with too much going on. It may work well in a print ad but in a quick four second blast to your viewer it can distract from the message.
- Too much information
Sometimes having the WEB address, the Phone number, The contact name, the address can take away from the message. The idea is to "Plant a seed" to your potential customer. The right message at the right time is enough
